For investors

A multi-billion dollar market, still run on software built for a different era.

Counselera is the practice platform that protects the people running the firm, priced for the firm instead of the seat. We are building it with a first group of paying firms, and opening early conversations with investors who want in before the public launch.

The market

A multi-billion dollar category, still growing

Legal practice management is already a multi-billion dollar category, growing at double-digit rates every year, with the shift from legacy tools to cloud and AI still underway. In the United States alone there are more than 1.3 million licensed attorneys, most of them in the small and midsize firms the incumbents serve worst. That is a large, durable base, already paying for software every month.

The opening

A large, sticky, underserved base

The category is led by a handful of aging platforms. Lawyers describe them as clunky, hard to learn, and quietly extractive, charging by the seat and taking a cut of every payment while the core product barely moves. Switching feels painful, so firms stay and resent it. A large, sticky, underserved base paying for tools they dislike is the opening.

What we are building

Three things the incumbents do not have

Counselera is an all-in-one platform for small and midsize firms, with three things the incumbents do not have at its core.

A safety engine

Computes every court deadline from the governing rules, cascades them when a date moves, guards the statute of limitations, and blocks a trust-account mistake before it happens. It prevents malpractice risk rather than reporting it afterward, and mission-critical software does not churn.

Per-firm pricing

One price for the whole firm, with no per-seat tax. It removes the one thing lawyers hate most about the incumbents and makes us the obvious switch.

AI that advises, never acts

Built for a profession where the lawyer always decides. Counselera surfaces the answer; the attorney always makes the call.

From the founder

“The incumbents got comfortable charging more as firms grew, and selling back basics that should have always worked. We are building the opposite: a platform that earns its place by preventing the mistakes that actually hurt a firm. That is a category worth rebuilding, and a rare moment to do it.”
